News update Wednesday 16th June:

Due to remarkably unsual sea temperature conditions we've taken the decision of moving the swim location to the largest nearby lake Tveitevannet (named Storavatnet on some maps). It is the lake one passes on the right after approx 4km of cycling on the original route. This will be a fresh (non salt) water. At temperature measurement carried out yesterday evening the sea at Kollevåg held 10.8°C. The lake held 15.5°C. Both measured approx. 50cm below the surface.

We are working on the last preparation for the event and are really looking forward to welcoming you all.

Things that we can control are under control. We are closely wathcing the water temperature and will find an acceptable swim solution under the circumstances. Information will be given as soon as things are decided.

Please bring neopren socks and swimcap if you've got such. We will have a limited stock for sale on behalf of Sailfish at the pre-race meeting friday.
