Bergen Triathlon 2010

Bergen Triathlon will replace the earlier Bergen Voss Triathlon, which was arranged in 2008 and 2009 coordinated with the Bergen Voss bike event, with 2-3000 cyclists participating.

The new event will take place  2 weeks later, June 19th., and will be a concentradet race with start, transition and finish in the same area. The race will take place on the island Askøy just west of Bergen, approximately 20mins drive. 

The Bergen Triathlon race 2010 is arranged by Bergen Triathlon Club and it will be headed by:

Race Director: Ole Jacob Taraldset  - 3 times Norseman black t-shirt finisher, 2 times Bergen Voss Triathlon finisher

The crew will also consists of:

Jan Wilhelm Werner - (run cheif) 7 times Norseman Black finisher, 2 Bergen Voss Triathlon Crew Race finisher

Dag Lorentz Aksnes - (swim chief)4 Norseman black finishes, 2 Bergen Voss Triathlon finishes.

Bjørnar Lunde - (bike chief) 2. place Bergen Voss Triathlon 2009, with 3. fastest in time of all in 2008-2009

Jan Kenneth Antun - (Transitions Chief) Bergen Voss Triathlon finisher 2009. Several Trondheim-Oslo 540km bike race finishes

Main organising Crew 2009:

Bergen Voss Triathlon was arranged by the Triathlon group of Bergen Cykleklubb (Bergen Cycling Club). The event was started in 2008. The club has arranged the Cyclotour from Bergen to Voss for over 30 years, and this 165km event has grown steadily in popularity over the years, and gathered in 2009 approxmately 3000 participants.The triathlon is arranged integrated with the cycle event.
